Saphna Ravichandran

Saphna graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Liverpool in 2016 and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2017. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in December 2018. 

Saphna has wide experience in civil litigation covering different areas of law including general litigation, debt recovery, insolvency matters and medical negligence, amongst others, and has appeared before both lower courts as well as the appellate courts.  Her areas of service also encompass advisory and corporate legal services. In fact, Saphna has drafted contracts for and advised various companies and government bodies and/or agencies on corporate transactions, corporate governance as well as business ventures.

Being a sports enthusiast, one area of law that is close to Saphna’s heart is sports law. Saphna has advised and assisted tournaments, sports associations, clubs, companies, players, athletes as well as coaches in diverse aspects and matters, including dispute resolution, commercialisation, intellectual property rights and contracts. Apart from sports law, Saphna is also comfortable in Criminal Defence work, having represented clients accused of various offences under the Penal Code, Dangerous Drugs Act 1965 etc.
